Cadillac One Car Review: It’s Not an Apache or a Tank – It’s Better Than Both – Cars Review

We have seen different degrees of insanity, but I can’t actually say what got me to review this ground-breaking unit of a moving fortress. It’s a one-of-a-kind mobile arsenal that combines presidential comfort as well as innovative engineering. Everything is packed and ready to go, but not as fast as you think. With an acceleration of 15 seconds from 0-60 mph and a top speed not exceeding 60 mph you will have more than enough time to be taken aback as it passes: this is not one of those nippy Italian cars that pass as swiftly as lightning flashes before you can say it flashes! The petrol tankIt has enough capacity to carry as much as a T-72 tank, at the same time not compromising on safety. The petrol tank is armour-plated filled with specially designed foam which prevents it from exploding even if it suffers a direct hit.Defense accessoriesJames Bond may have a machine gun equipped amphibian-car with revolving license plates and oil sprayers, but it can’t help but bow to the Cadillac one. With armour plated 8-inch thick doors, night-vision cameras, pump-action shotguns, tear gas cannons and a driver’s window tough enough to resist armour-piercing bullets, a machine gun shower on December 31st would not deter it. On the inside is a communication centre on the dashboard fitted with GPS tracking system, a firefighting system in the boot as well as an oxygen supply. The driver’s window is the only one that opens, but not exceeding three inches. There are also bottles of the president’s blood on board in case he needs an emergency transfusion.BodyworkHeat – hit – heat – and hit again. No, this is not a blacksmith forged iron body. It is a technical combination of dual hardness steel, aluminium, titanium and even ceramic plates to break up possible projections. The Cadillac one’s chassis is a reinforced five-inch steel plate that runs under the car for protection in the unlikely event of a bomb being place underneath. The armour on the body is so thick that it has the weight of a cabin door on a Boeing 757 jet, and the steel so strong that a dinosaur would not break it if it sat upon it.InteriorThe car’s interior seats four passengers with a glass partition, and only the president has a switch to lower it. The president also has a panic switch installed which he can use to summon help and his seat has an executive package featuring a fold-away desktop, laptop computer with Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art satellite phone and a direct line to the vice president and the pentagon. Oops, I almost forgot – it’s also connected to my phone. The chauffeurBy another name he could also be called a Para-marine, as he is trained by the CIA to cope in the most demanding of driving situations. At one time Allen Iverson led his team to victory with an injured arm; I suppose the Cadillac one’s chauffeur would do much more.TiresThe tires are Kevlar-reinforced, shred and puncture resistant, with steel rims underneath that enable movement even if the rubber is blasted away. All said and done, the Cadillac one remains the car to beat!Other facts:

New Ford Focus Car Review – Cars Review

Ford sets themselves a tough challenge, to re-design their best selling European car. Get it right and they can expect sales figures as astounding as the previous model (over 4 million). Get it wrong and it could be a disaster!Inside the new Focus, Ford has continued with a technique that works well. They have used good quality, sturdy materials and have laid all controls out in a way that seems to make every switch and button feel completely intuitive. There is also plenty of space in the Ford Focus to fit four adults and their luggage. The back seats feel roomy and comfortable, and the sloping roof line that makes the exterior so attractive does not leave the focus short of headroom. In the front, the driver’s seat and steering wheels are fully adjustable to allow people of all shapes and sizes to get comfortable.Equipment levels in the Ford Focus are great with even the entry level models coming with front electric windows and height adjustable driver’s seat. All but the entry level ‘Studio’ model, also come with air-con remote central locking and CD player. The drive has always been the selling point of the Ford Focus. Ford managed to make a car that was practical enough to be a family car, affordable, and an absolute joy to drive and own. The good news is they have made the drive even better! The handling is great, the steering is precise, and there is a huge range of engines to choose from, so all tastes will be satisfied. Owning the new Ford Focus will put a smile on your face every time you drive it.So, has Ford done the impossible and bettered the old Focus? Yes.
